The registration for Counter-Strike 1.6 Open League has been extended until Friday, July 4, 2008, just in time for Week 3! Remember, this is the last chance to register for the most competitive league at its finest. In order to participate in the Open Division, your team must have the following:
IRC Channel
5 members with STEAM IDs in AC Identifier
That is all you need so hurry up and get your team signed up before registrations close on Friday, July 4, 2008.

As many of you are aware the HTGN site and services were temporarily offline due to an issue with the webservers that house the HTGN site and GameGuardian AC services. Due to the downtime that occured today any matches that were scheduled for tonight will be allowed to be extended for 24 hours. If you need additional time to complete the match please contact an HTGN staff member for the game division you are registered in.
I would like to thank the staff over at Art of War Central for there dedication and support provided by during this matter and thank everyone for there patience during the downtime.

| Game Guardian 2.0 RC2 Released and Required! |
The wrong installer was grabbed and not updated on HTGN Website. XP Users uninstall last version and redownload and install from the links listed below. Other XP and Vista users need to just let the GG Client Autoupdate.
This is the official release of Game Guardian 2.0 RC2 “Twilight”. From the Game Guardian developers:
Version RC2 Twilight has been released! This release includes performance fixes, full Windows XP Home Edition compatibility, server side administrative updates, and general bug fixes.
Subsequent versions of RC2 "Twilight" patches are planned to be released throughout this week. These patches will address in-game display issues, xfire bug, and punkbuster compatibility.
This version has been tested out by various HTGN staff on different platforms so there should be no issues getting GG installed and running. Please download and install GG here or from www.gameguardian.net. Once GG is installed and working on a computer, the GG client will auto-update itself to the newest version when available. As stated in the GG update by the developers, there are still some known issues with specific games and will be addressed with updates during this week. The main functionality of the GG Client is still there even with these minor bugs. Please consult the GG Client Tutorial found here that will help answer most questions about this release. With each subsequent major update, the tutorial file will be updated.
As of Wednesday, June 11th 6 PM EST, Game Guardian will be required for America’s Army, Call of Duty 4, Counterstrike 1.6, and Counterstrike:Source for ALL HTGN matches. A player must be running GG during the whole duration of an HTGN match.
NOTE: If you still have issues installing and running, please submit a Support Ticket on the main HTGN site titled GG Issues. Along with the specific issues experienceed, please include the Operating System, Service Pack, Anti-Virus, and Firewall.

HTGN would like to happily inform everyone about it's coming America's Army League which will be in its 5th season! With four great seasons behind us we are looking forward to one of the most exciting seasons in HTGN history, with more teams, staff, and prizes than ever before. As the biggest AA season ever in HTGN history, we would like to help everyone understand what is happening so that everyone can get in on the competition, be it for fun, bragging rights, and awesome prizes (or all 3!). Prizes will range from a total value of $3k-$5k depending on team numbers at the start of the season. A prize list will come shortly before Pre-Season starts.
Registration for the season is open, and will remain so until June 30th so even if you don't have a team yet you have plenty of team to find one and get everyone signed up. The season officially starts on July 1st and will have a total length of 12 weeks. There will be 10 weeks of normal season play, and 2 weeks of pre-season. (Note, that the Pro division does NOT have a pre-season, and the Semi-pro division will only have 1 week of pre-season.) The map list used for all three divisions will be as follows:

As an HTGN admin you will not only get the chance to have a life experience working behind the scenes, you will also get closer with the gaming community, and get points as part of the HTGN Staff Incentive Program (SIP). HTGN is excited to announce that it's Battle Field 2 leagues are back! The game that taught you how to fly a plane, shoot a tv guided missile, and drive a tank is coming back to HTGN on June 29th when the new season officially starts. League rules are being updated to allow for the best possible season. Prizes will be announced after 32 teams have registered, and the map list will come the week before pre-season.
As part of the process to prepare for the BF2 league, was ask that any and all interested in being an admin in the league apply HERE. You can still play on your team and be an admin at the same time, and you could win double prizes with the staff incentive program (SIP)!
Get yourself signed up! Get your team signed up! Get everyone you know to sign up for the BF2 league. More teams = more prizes and more competition. We look forward to seeing all the teams and players on June 29th!
